This session will offer a real-world case study on how R3 Blockchain was used to build TruckPass, a solution to enable frictionless, digital borders to create simpler, more efficient, and more secure border transit for the haulage industry. TruckPass uses blockchain technology to electronically seal a pallet of goods, removing the need for an entire container or vehicle to be sealed. Once that seal is in place, it creates a randomly generated number that is associated with the consignment. TruckPass uses a blockchain-driven digital ledger to record transactions from multiple contributors in a highly automated, digital and decentralized business process, enabling all authorized individuals to contribute to the chain and to “see” all transactions and updates in real time.
