Stephen brings over 18 years of professional experience, specializing in Fund of Funds, Venture Acceleration and Opportunistic investment strategies to Amalgam. In various roles, he has concluded proprietary assignments in TMT, Fintech, Energy and Renewables, Hospitality, as well as Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies—built and commercialized Lebanon’s first, carrier-neutral mobile (banking) ecosystem. Salloum also brought mobile payments (all ‘hard/soft’ solutions) to Haiti’s 2nd largest operator and lead a highly successful ‘feeder’ fund in the Middle East (GCC), growing AUM/AUA from US$4MM, initially to well over US$3.8BN upon his departure. Christine Busaba

A strategist, marketer and builder, Christine understands how to neatly align an emerging product suite with the needs of customers and brings her 6 years of experience to Amalgam as the Vice President of Product. Ms. Busaba was formerly the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Maev, a venture backed direct-to-consumer subscription business. Prior to that, she spent four years at Liberty Mutual Insurance working in marketing analytics and strategy, managing the allocation of hundreds of millions in marketing spend and setting the five year corporate strategic vision. Ms. Busaba has seen companies thrive at a massive scale and has also built companies from 0 to 1. She believes that incredible products stem from deep customer understanding and the ability to work openly and cross-functionally. Ms. Busaba earned her Bachelors degree in International Relations and Economics from Tufts University in 2013 and her MBA from Harvard Business School in 2019.

Previously he was CTO and co-founder of StoreAge Networking Technologies, which was acquired by LSI in 2006. At StoreAge, he invented the out of band storage virtualization system, building and leading the engineering to a successful product that was adopted by HP and led to the acquisition of StoreAge by LSI. Nelson holds 10 patents related to storage technologies. He is a graduate of the Technion, the Israeli Institute of Technology.
